Our New Blog

Hi!  Everyone!  I am trying a new source to keep parents posted.     We read a book about Holidays Around the World.  We used the word traditions.  Please post something about how your family celebrates Christmas.

Micah gets to spend Christmas with all of his family since we are lucky enough to all live close together. Christmas Eve means pizza (his Daddy's favorite tradition), punch, and exchanging presents with his godsisters Madison, Morgan, and Mackenzie. On Christmas morning, Mimi and Papa come over for breakfast and presents, and then we head over to Nana and Poppy's for the rest of the day for more food, fun, and presents! Love the new blog!

  4. In our family we go to Church on Christmas Eve. We usually have enchiladas for Christmas Eve dinner. We wake up on Christmas morning and open presents. We like to hang out in our PJs all day. A new tradition is for the girls to play Christmas carols on the piano. When we go home to Texas we are at different cousin's and aunt's and uncle's homes for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. It is a real family celebration.

  5. Our Christmas traditions are filled with lots of family and friends. All of Logan's family is local. He is blessed to still have all of his grandparents and 4 great grandparents in his life. Every year he gets new Christmas pajamas to wear on Christmas Eve. On Christmas Eve we also go to Pop's house(Logan's grandfather)for steak, fries and presents. On Christmas morning Papa & Mema, Mama, Meme and Papa & Nana come for breakfast and to see what Santa brought to our house. Then we travel to Papa & Nana's, Meme's and aunt Krystal's house for more food, fun and presents. By Christmas night we are all exhausted. :)

  6. Daniel has a very large family so we start celebrating Christmas about a week before! We start with “Christmas at Memaw’s” then the annual “Dickerson Christmas Party.” On Christmas Eve we go to “Mimi and Popi’s” and then Christmas Day we spend all day as a family opening presents, watching Christmas specials, baking, and playing with new toys! For the month of December Daniel and his little sister Allie make Christmas crafts and help bake goodies. One of Daniel and Allie’s favorite crafts this year was making their hand print ornaments. A tradition we started about three years back is making a Ginger Bread House every year. This is one of Daniel’s favorite things to do around Christmas time!:-)

  8. I love the blog Mrs. Hallemts, especially the background! We have a family tradition of going to Christmas Eve service at church, getting pizza and watching 'Christmas Vacation'. Cali and her brother are always excited to make and leave cookies for Santa and even food for Rudolph.

  9. This is great Mrs. Hallmets! The girls (Bentlee and Trinity) and I enjoy going to my sister's house on Christmas Eve, church with my sister in law (the late service), then they bake cookies for Santa. On Christmas day they open gifts and we go watch a movie at night.
