American Symbols

This week we are reading about the symbols of America.  We have read about our flag, the Statue of Liberty, the Bald Eagle, the Liberty Bell, and Mount Rushmore.  When I went to Washington DC I saw many other symbols like the White House, the Washington Monument, and the Capital Building.  These symbols stand for things that are important to our country.  Tell me about a symbol we learned about and why you think it is important.

When my family went to Washington DC- We saw the Declaration of Independence. It was really cool. This year in 3rd grade we are learning the Preamble to our Constitution, which is all the laws of America- it's over 200 years old.
